Mark BjorloMy name is Mark Bjorlo and on the first Sunday of January 2004 I launched The Journey North Community Church in Brainerd, MN with a dedicated small group of completely committed Christ followers.

I grew up in Plymouth, MN while my wife Elizabeth grew up in Portland, OR. Together, we lived in San Francisco, CA. for a few years before coming to our senses and moving back to Minnesota. My wife and I met in 1991 and married the following year. Elizabeth is a home-school mom and loves teaching our four kids. She also loves sports like softball and volleyball. Her favorite activities include hiking, biking, and hanging out with friends (of which I am her very best and she really is mine).

My Awesome Children: Rebekah (13), Caleb (11), and Bethany (6) Abigail (2)

Random Stuff about Me

Birth-date: May 30th 1968. Education: Crown College (B.S. Christian Ministry), Bethel Theological Seminary Completed Masters of Theological Study program and have been continuing for the Masters of Divinity degree.

Hope for The Journey North: As I dream I see an attractive spiritual community that embraces Gods redemptive plan and shares it with others. I envision using a compass as a physical image that keeps us focused on our constant need to re-align our hearts and our lives in order to honor God. I deeply desire that we would be a safe place for people to explore their faith and engage their spiritual journey.

What is God teaching me right now? It is all for His Glory! I have been impressed by the realization that everything in life ultimately can be done for the Glory of God.
